Wildflowers, historic bridges, Gold Hurry

Lengthy back, I discovered my father’s like of backroads vacation, driving in the backseat of the relatives car or truck as my father would say (recognizing an intriguing again road in the Midwest), “OK, boys, let us see wherever this highway takes us.” Off we would go, my mom and two brothers and me a bit leery of my dad’s bravura.

But, appreciate of exploration has stuck with me and this time of the calendar year it’s hard to stay away from the allure of wildflowers, spectacular landscapes, historic bridges and Gold Rush background that spread like a necklace together the Sierra foothills to our east. This is the time of calendar year, for the next thirty day period or so, wherever a profusion of wildflowers burst on the scene in the course of the river watersheds foremost up to the Sierra, blessed with an abundance of beautiful views, Gold Hurry background and some extraordinary old bridges, to boot.

The historic Fair Oaks Bridge, circa 1907, crosses the American at Fair Oaks.
